Comments: So, Rhonda and I went to this concert, a concert that I still have mixed feelings about. On the one hand, the music was fantastic and the band was tight. The set list was just about everything anyone could have hoped for considering the fact that this was to be the last time that Mr. Bowie was ever going to play these songs in concert ever again. On the other hand, I missed long time Bowie alumni Carlos Alomar on Rhythm guitar. Not to mention the fact that the volume was low enough that Rhonda and I could sit 20 odd rows up in the stands and carry on a conversation at a normal volume usually not associated with concert conversations. I sincerely hope that The Thin White Duke fired his sound man right after this show because, damn, he certainly wasn’t doing his job this night.
Still, seeing as how this was the only time I saw Bowie live and, considering the fact he has eschewed any further touring, I will just be satisfied with the fact I finally got to see him perform a lot of his classics live in concert before my very eyes.
