Comments: Rhonda, Tommy, Louise and I went to see Mr Eric Clapton on this wonderful October evening. From the first notes of Cross Road Blues played while Clapton strolled out from between his amplifiers until the last bows were taken, all in attendance were in his thrall. Standing centre stage, eyes closed in musical bliss, fingers ripping effortlessly up and down his fret board, we were in the presence of musical genius. All of this and Dire Straits Mark Knofler in the Eric’s crack band, featuring the rhythm section of Steve Ferrone and Nathan East this concert has been musically unrivaled in my concert going career. I enjoyed the show so much that, while walking down Yonge Street to catch the GO Train home following the show, I stopped off at Sam The Record Man’s and coughed up for his recently released four disc career retrospective, Crossroads.
