Comments: So, Stefan, John and I attended this show at the Sear’s Theatre configuration of the Air Canada Centre. Stefan and John were both big fans. I knew a handful of them but agreed to go along, primarily because I loved the song Don’t Pay the Ferryman.
The concert itself was excellent and rather lengthy, with de Burgh and his tight band playing 35 songs including three encore sets.
Not bad for the money. Plus, it turned out I actually knew several more of his songs including Say Goodbye to It All, High on Emotion, and A Spaceman Came A Travelling. Oh, yeah and that song about a lady wearing a particular coloured dress.
I would love to go see CdB and company live again one of these days but I always seem to miss when his shows are announced. Plus, I doubt he could ever hope to hold a candle to this show, my first concert of the new millennium.
